Sanibel Island Writers Conference

While I'm not one of the participants, I will be at the Sanibel Island Writers Conference this October. I recommend those of you able to come and spend an idyllic weekend with some very good writers at an incredible location. My friend Tom DeMarchi is the Director of the conference, and this first installment has some terrific writers: Judith Viorst, Jonathon Ames, Steve Almond, Julianna Baggott, John Dufresnes, among others. Click on the banner below to get the full low-down.

Hmm...sounds interesting, but not at a time of year I can attend, unfortunately. You'll have to give us a report!

BTW - could I link to your latest book on my blog? I'm trying to promote some blogging writers in my sidebar...

Yes, you may make that link, and I'm very thankful for your thoughtfulness.

And yes, too, I'll be sending in reports from the field. It'll be a rough assignment, but someone has to do it!

If you have a free weekend, you should come to the Dodge Poetry Festival in Waterloo, NJ. It's the first weekend in October.

January:

I was to the last Dodge Poetry Fest, at the Duke farm. I understand this year they are returning to their home base (a good move). Unfortunately, I'll be in Savannah, Georgia that weekend.

To anyone who hasn't been to the Dodge Poetry Festival, it is a tremendous, inspiring event! Thanks for including the link!

Gosh! So close and yet so far. I'm glad the organizers decided to go back to Waterloo--a much better venue.
